In 1970, in front of a 17^th century building of the historical center of Rome, in a silent crossbar of the elegant Via Giulia, we planted a Wistaria ("Glicine" in italian)...

Today, after more than 30 years, this flourishing plant, climbs along the façade and in Spring time, innundates whole road with colour and perfume.
IL GLICINE was founded in 1999 and takes its name from the Wistaria which grows on the walls of its first holiday home. Our aim was to offer tourists alternative accommodations to traditional hotels, but with a homely and more welcoming character.

From then on, the number of our properties has grown, just like the Wistaria, and today we can offer many different accommodations: both Holiday Homes and Bed and Breakfast. Our association is constituted by owners of apartment and villas located in areas of particular historical, artistic or environmental interest; provided with all comforts, elegantly furnished and, therefore, classified as “High Quality”.
We have several accommodations all over Italy: In the heart of the historical center of Rome, near Piazza Navona, Campo dei Fiori, Via Giulia, Trastevere, the Colosseum, Spanish steps. In Sicily our houses are in Palermo in a 17^th century villa situated in a residential area; in the famous sea resort of Mondello, near Cefalù in an enchanting farmhouse surrounded by orange trees and overlooking the sea; in Taormina, just a few minutes from Isola Bella; in the countryside between Catania and Siracusa; in Scopello in an ancient village and in San Vito Lo Capo in an exclusive villa right by the sea. In Tuscany, we have two beautiful villas inside the green "Maremma". In the heart of the central district "Vomero" in Naples.
