At the foot of the Colosseum and in the historical centre of Rome, there is a quiet apartment waiting to fulfil your desire for a holiday, for rest and for fun. The apartment is an elegantly furnished 80 sq.m. space and can welcome from 2 to 7 people, with the possibility of adding an eighth bed. It’s position is enviable: 300 metres from the Colosseum and the Roman Forum and from the beautiful Colle Oppio park; and from here you can easily reach the other areas of the historical centre on foot or, as an alternative, by bus and tram that conveniently stop in front of our building, or if you prefer, by Metro at the nearby stops of Manzoni (line A) or Colosseo (line B).

IL GLICINE "Domus Aurea" is located in via Labicana, in a building dating from the early 1900’s, in the ancient and characteristic Rione Monti. The apartment, very quiet and also comfortable, is on the 4^th floor with a lift and is made up of two double bedrooms and a living room with two sofa-beds, an American kitchen and a full bathroom with shower / bath.

From the entranceway a corridor leads first to the ample living room (equipped with radio and satellite TV) and then to the two bedrooms. The bathroom has recently and totally been renewed. The large and welcoming kitchen is entirely furnished. There is a telephone line and guests also have free 24 hrs ADSL Internet access. The flat is furnished with air conditioning.

Between the beautiful park of Colle Oppio and the Palatino, you will be immersed in the most suggestive part of Rome: the Colisseum, the Imperial Forums, the Basilica of St. John Lateran and the splendid Domus Aurea (the Golden House). Slightly farther is the Ancient Via Appia, the Circus Maximus, and the Baths of Caracalla, but in only a few minutes you can also reach the Trevi fountain, the Spanish steps, St. Peter’s basilica, Castel S. Angelo and... all those characteristic corners of ancient Rome that will make your stay in the eternal city something you will never forget.

How to reach us

BY PLANE:
From “Leonardo da Vinci” airport (Fiumicino) you can get a taxi (about 47 Euro for a 40 min. ride) or take the train (9 Euro) to Termini station and then the underground-line A to "Manzoni" or bus number 204 up to Via Labicana. After getting out from the underground you will be in Via Labicana, only 200 meters from the apartment. IL GLICINE can arrange a reliable taxi to and from the airport for its guests (€ 47 per trip): ask for this service by e-mail.

From Ciampino airport, take the CO.TRA.L bus near the Bus Arrivals to the “Anagnina” underground station, from which you should then take the underground to Roma Termini station. From here you can either take a taxi to the apartment, or take the underground-line A to "Manzoni" or bus number 204 up to Via Labicana. After getting out from the underground you will be in Via Labicana, only 200 meters from the apartment. The trip by train + taxi or bus takes about 1 hour and 1/2.

Price List

Prices are in Euro, apply to ONE NIGHT and include taxes.
A minimum stay between 2 and 6 nights is required (depending on the periods). An advance of 20% of the total amount should be paid (by Credit Card or other money transfer's methods) at the reservation time. The balance will be paid at the arrival.
