IL GLICINE Piazza di Spagna is an amazing penthouse apartment located in an historic building. The interiors lay-out is extremely charming and the seven windows and the two large terraces offer a breathtaking view over the roofs of the city centre. The apartment is located on the corner of Via della Vite and Via del Corso, right in the heart of the city centre and just 300 metres from the world famous Spanish Steps.

The flat is perfectly positioned for holiday makers wishing to visit Roman monuments such as the Imperial Forum, the Palatine hill, the Campidoglio, the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Piazza del Popolo and the Spanish Steps, which can all be easily reached on foot.
The Colosseum and Terme di Caracalla can be reached via underground railway from Piazza di Spagna underground station. Via della Vite is just a few yards from the exclusive shops of Via Condotti and Via Frattina and the lively Via del Corso, one of the busiest and most varied shopping streets in Rome.

IL GLICINE Piazza di Spagna is located on the top floor of a delightful 17th century palazzo, one of the properties of the Ottoboni dynasty, a Venetian family whose members included Pope Alexander VIII (1689-1691).
As a result of its architectural value, the palazzo is a protected building and thus it has not been possible to extend the lift to the top floor (6th floor), where the apartment is situated. The lift stops at the third floor and there are 3 flights of steps to climb.

	The 80 sqm flat is laid out according to a rectangular plan with numerous windows on three sides. The apartment is composed of a large well lit sitting room with kitchenette, furnished with two sofa-beds and a dining table, a double bed room with bathroom (with shower), a second bathroom (with shower), a small sitting room furnished with a sofa-bed connected to a large bedroom with room for 2-3 people on the mezzanine floor. The flat has been recently redecorated and all the fittings and furnishings are brand new. The apartment has an autonomous central heating system and there are air conditioners in each room. The flat also includes a washing machine and two televisions providing the main Italian television channels. The whole flat is finely furnished and equipped with everything necessary to ensure the comfort of our guests. The small sitting room and bedroom open onto two large panoramic terraces with views over the city centre, one looking towards the north (from which it is possible to see the architectural splendour of the church of Trinità dei Monti) and one looking towards the south (from which it is possible to see many historic buildings including the Parliament). The larger terrace, which can be accessed from the small sitting room, is furnished with a table and chairs and may be shaded by a roller blind. The windows on the west face of the building overlooking via del Corso open onto a large roof and thus the apartment is also extremely quiet. The photos above, below and alongside illustrate the IL GLICINE Piazza di Spagna apartment in which, thanks to the sofa-bed in the small sitting room, the mezzanine floor and the double bed room, can sleep seven people comfortably. Where necessary, using the two sofa-beds in the main sitting room, the flat can accommodate up to nine people.

Where we are
The red ring on the map shows the exact location of the apartment which is situated in Via della Vite. The front door of the palazzo lies just 50 metres from Piazza San Silvestro, the bus station at which all public service buses in central Rome terminate, and just 300 metres from Piazza di Spagna underground station.
How to reach us
BY PLANE: From Roma Leonardo Da Vinci (Fiumicino) airport take a taxi directly to the flat or the light railway to Termini railway station (€9 per person). The trip from the airport by taxi takes approximately 45 minutes by taxi. From the station take a taxi to the apartment or N° 175 bus for five stops to Piazza San Silvestro. The flat is just 50 metres from the bus stop. The journey by train and taxi or bus takes approximately 1 hour. Il Glicine can organize guests transport to and from the airport with a recommended taxi company, please ask for it. BY TRAIN: From Roma Termini railway station take a taxi to the apartment or a N° 175 bus towards Piazza San Silvestro. The flat is just 50 metres from the bus stop. The trip from the station takes approximately 15 minutes. From Roma Tiburtina railway station take the underground to Roma Termini (and follow the above directions from Rome Termini railway station) or a taxi directly to the apartment. BY CAR: The flat is situated within a restricted access area (ZTL - Zona a Traffico Limitato). Visitors arriving by car should click here for further information on how to access the restricted area and the hours in which traffic is permitted to enter. Parking is nevertheless available in Ludovisi Underground Car Park in Villa Borghese which is connected to Piazza di Spagna underground station by an underground moving walkway.
